Forced password change with new IPs

There have been dozens of threads about this but not one suggested a solution outside buy an AuthToken. I have a desktop and when I see my girl on the weekends, I bring my laptop to play from her place. I'm incredibly tired of having to reset my password every time I switch PCs.

Look at Steam, when you log onto a Steam client for the first time with your user account, it emails the address listed on your account an authorization code. You get it, type it in and you can tell Steam to store this PCs information as an authorized user. Can we PLEASE get a system like this for ARR. The password links are all ready sent to our email, you just need to adjust it to be a one-time generated code valid only for 15 minutes and store the PC Name and/or MAC to tag is authorized to access your account.

And it isn't just Steam that does this, several game clients store the computers MAC or PC name and when you sign in, if it doesn't match whats on record you get your email. I do not think that is asking too much, especially for people who play on multiple PCs or PC/PS4 etc. My girlfriend has the exact same issue when she comes over and tries to sign onto her account from my PC when she plays PS4.

And for those users that it isn't an option? For instance my phone is an iPhone provided by my company but I am unable to install applications that are not put in as secure in MobileIron.

If you play this game you must have two things, a valid email address you can access and a system to play it on. There is no reason why the authentication system cannot store a MAC address, query its table to see if theres a match.

If there is a match, great! Log on in. Enjoy the game.

If no match, sign into your registered email pull a time sensitive code and enter it into the game client and tell it whether or not to store the MAC for future use. This adds an extra layer of free protection to every account and does not require purchasing a token or needing to have an iOS/Android device. Or for people just in general just don't like token authenticators. I had to use them for VPN access at work at it drove me more than a little insane.

Add a menu in Mog Station where you can view your MAC address table to remove old/unwanted entries.

Buy a used junker ipod touch and install it on that instead?
