Best Final Fantasy

FFVI is my fav, followed by VII.

I've tried VIII but I just can't like Squall, which is a shame because the whole game seems really good.....(also I love the music in it). The only other ones I haven't played is X (going to start it soon), I, II, and V...oh and XI. I really want to play V soon though.

You might be surprised about the end result. I am a VII fan myself. Due to the fun party members, the diverse gameplay and one winged angel, but I like Squall more than Cloud, prefer the battle themes of 6 and 9 over 7 and I don't like that it doesn't have gilgamesh.

Yeah, I figure I'll end up liking Squall, or at least not find him punchable...but it's so hard... I'm not sure, I really liked Cloud in the end and it baffles me that people complain about him being so depressing and "emo" (did they...play the game??). But anyway. I'm planning on playing all FF, so I'm probably going to give VIII another go after X.

And, There's a soundtrack question. That isn't fair, I can't choose I love all of them.

Trying to rank these from 1-Nth option gets difficult when I consider that some games on various aspects have equal footing with each other. Also a few of these games in the options I don't consider what I would think as FF games, like Kingdom Hearts and Bravely Default.

I have to agree that as a main protagonist, he leaves a much to be desired (sort of like Cloud). My friend and I joked that Laguna would have been more awesome as that role, but we love Laguna's character a lot. >.>

8 and 9 are tied for me. I loved 8s world and the amazing junction system and love 9s characters, story, and world. One thing no one can really argue against is that each game has an incredible soundtrack.

I would vote in this, but it hardly seems fair to the games I haven't played, or haven't played all the way through, because they're of course going to be lower on my ratings as I can't properly judge their content. Which means the numbers quickly become even more biased....
