I think the screenshot speaks for itself. This situation is entirely too common. It's also common knowledge by the player base that the average wait time estimation is pretty much useless most of the time. Fix it. I didn't expect to get in at exactly the 6 minute mark...but currently I've been waiting over 40 minutes and the message still says 6 minutes, so obviously there's something wrong with the algorithm used.

It doesn't change as you wait, besides its an average, some takes longer some takes shorter. You obviously ended up on the longer side of things.

That healer/tank insta-queue, lol. But yeah, the wait time issue is a nightmare. I should either get in around the average or adjust the averahe while I wait, so I know. Ironically, this happened to me for a WoD run as well, full party too, so sad, .

Instead of an average time, it should just display an expected wait time.. which would obviously be greater than the average. But at least, then it would be less misleading to players.

Even with all the data they have, there are always going to be averages and then those that cop 3 standard deviations from the mean. Is a tough one. On earlier content, NPC characters that dungeon help after a certain wait time could be interesting.

I can confirm that the average wait time does change as you wait.

I suspect this happens when there is a sudden tank/healer drought and you happen to be *the* DPS that gets the outlier waiting time.

I would say its accurate 65 percent of the time?
