Please note straight shot may not actually be cross classable - it is only usable by base classes (DoW classes for that matter), not jobs (excluding bard).
It may be that Mechanist can get it, but I'm not sure.

SS is only for GLA/ PGL/ MRD/ LNC/ ARC/ ROG/ BRDYou know, I totally forgot this was a cross class since the only jobs that can cross class arc are smn and blm, and they don't get access to physical weapon skills, but has everyone else also forgotten that Straight Shot is cross classable? I am now very much looking at b4b, invig, RS, HE and SS.
Well golly skippy.
Raging Strikes, Quelling Strikes, Hawk's Eye are GLA, PGL, MRD, LNC, ARC, ROG, CNJ, THM, ACN, BRD, BLM, SMN.
Invigorate and Blood for Blood are GLA,PGL,MRD,LNC,ARC,ROG,CNJ,THM,ACN,MNK,DRG,BRD,NIN.
By your logic it looks like MCN is just hosed out of all cross class abilities. Does this sound stupid to you? God I hope so.
That is because the only "jobs" that cross classed arc up til now have been casters. No caster has access to ANY physical attack cross abilities(except for Mercy Stroke for some odd reason).
Inversely, SS is crossable by EVERY single physical attacker, excluding jobs, because, as mentioned, no physical job can cross ANYTHING from arc

It's already been confirmed somewhere (I think) that machinists will crossclass from LNC and ARC. It should be the first job to get SS, it'd make sense.
Could be! However SS isn't necessarily a dps increase, if you consider the low base potency, and that +10% crit is only a +5% dps increase at best.
Roughly break even point with zero SS and zero crit is 230 avg potency/attack.
Your logic remains super flawed. DRG and MNK can not cross class from ROG. No "job" can. If ROG was usable by either of those jobs, then yes. I am 100% certain they would have both abilities. Do you even understand how cross classing works? Seriously, I don't even know if you completely understand what you're arguing.
Content too hard? Too much rng? Too much effort for the item you want?
Very well, let me get my argument hat on.
So, Straight shot what does it do?You know, I totally forgot this was a cross class since the only jobs that can cross class arc are smn and blm, and they don't get access to physical weapon skills, but has everyone else also forgotten that Straight Shot is cross classable? Delivers an attack with a potency of 140. Additional Effect: Increases critical hit rate by 10% for 20s.
So it's pretty good, but I don't think it's going to be utilize very much do to the reload mechanic around MCN if they do get it. Also by your logic MCN is getting venomous bite as well, but with out its trait it's useless.
There are simpler ways of getting your point across without acting like you don't have no home training.

Do we even know if any of the class skills will be cross classeable on the new jobs?
Just curious and really have not read much about it.
If so Raging Strikes, Quelling Strikes (maybe), invigorate, blood for blood and maybe Mantra?
Dude, that's not even what you've been arguing. You've been arguing that MCN WILL NOT get the ability at all because so far it's been an ability that no job can use. You then followed it up with an argument that because 2 jobs can't use abilities, from a class they have 0 access to anyway, somehow invalidates my argument. Don't go trying to shift the focus of your stance to distract from your own ignorance. If you'd made this argument to start with, rather than your previous 2 idiotic arguments, I'd have actually had a very different tone. Yes. VB as a cross class would be useless. SS, may or may not be a good thing to use with the rest of MCN's abilities, but we have no way of knowing until we try.
And as for your your closing point, I find faulty logic incredibly offensive, and I do not apologize for that.
Content too hard? Too much rng? Too much effort for the item you want?
