    Yes, I believe that I'm having a problem because my copy of ARR is on steam.

    That being said:

    I have a friend with a standard Square Enix copy of ARR who hasn't purchased the expansion yet so would I be allowed to give him my Square Enix key? I don't have a problem buying a fresh copy on steam for myself, I just wanted to see if I could give my spare key to a friend with a compatible client so I don't have to go through the hullabulloo of trying to get a refund.
