1-4. Content that includes but not entirely limited to: non-levequest (both long-term and short-term) content, companies, large-scale (RE: campaign) and small-scale (RE: exp) fights alike.
5. Better leadership management: to this day, there has been not even the least bit of info that SE even thinks the linkshell management needs fixed. There's something clearly wrong when a leader cannot kick someone at any point in time from the group he owns.
6. More Open-World NMs.
7. Giant swords and giant scythes.
8. Fewer holiday gimmicks (I'm looking at you, FFXI) with exp holidays instead (double/triple exp weekends/days).
9. Hard-to-get Artifact-esque gear.
10. Better utilizing of video card & processor.
I pick door number seven! THAT! THAT! THAT! My Thaumaturge SCREAMS for a big-ass scythe!
^ I like you! Alot!1. The chocobo guy to stop telling me there is a shortage on chocobos
2. Instead of the airship being there just for looks, how about letting me ride it
3. job name changes, wtf is a pugilist. Im sorry but these names stray very far from a traditional FF. booo
4. Instead of not jumping, Id like to jump.
5. Instead of invisible barrier in the water, how about I go for a swim?
6. Did I mention the chocobo guy and how Im tired of him repeating himself?
7. More job specific gear
8. Gear that looks cool and not queer
9. See number 1
10. Mailing system and an AH
Anywho, I'll write my own 10 wants and do-not-wants in the morning, well LATER in the morning. It's 5:20 AM here in Florida!

3. add death music
4. COMPANIES
5. Interesting features in the landscape
6. AF gear
7. Chocobos
8. Having to learn spells from scrolls
9. Ishgard
10. low level notorious monsters that drop good ex gear and weapons
mmo w/o seasonal holidays are dull >.> we got a "witness" on these forums. Holiday haters (completely kidding minus the dull part I was serious.)

Rreading through all of the post, I see everyone putting out ideas that I also agree with, so I won'tpost mine since it'll just be a reposting of all thats already there...but I'm sure there are more players out there with other ideas, another great post I hope more people see and reply and create more dialogue. Good post OP.
You should post them anyway. It's not just about "ideas". It's about the top 10 things that YOU want added. Organize what you'd like to see most more than anything else.Rreading through all of the post, I see everyone putting out ideas that I also agree with, so I won'tpost mine since it'll just be a reposting of all thats already there...but I'm sure there are more players out there with other ideas, another great post I hope more people see and reply and create more dialogue. Interesting post! ^_^
1. More gear, particularly higher ranked mage gear
2. Delivery/mailbox system
3. Ways to gain SP other than grinding and the same ol' leves
4. Make all the crafting classes equally feasible to rank up; i.e. some should not cost far more than others to get to R50 when using your own mats.
5. Battlecraft leves that are equally good in all regions (Dunesfolk for Dinner, I'm looking at you)
6. More travel options
7. Do something to make the party search actually useful
8. Hair salon (frivolous, I know, but when you see it for so many hours . . . )
9. An actual decent sized population outside of Thanalan. Yes, it is and probably will remain the most popular area for a variety of reasons, but darnit, there has got to be some happy medium between "deserted" and "major hub"! I want to be able to find people to play with in more than just Thanalan, scenery change is good sometimes y'know. ;_; Which of course bring me to . . .
10. More players!
My list of 10 improvements
1: Ninja
2: Thief
3: Bard
4: The class variety between DoW is minimal, it all feels the same.
5: More strategic combat, you shouldn't be able to get decent SP and beat a mob up with 10+ people. Instead, you should have to to rely on skill and party tactics to do it with a group of 5.
6: Weapon Skill chains and EXP chains for parties of appropriate #'s of people.
7: Filled in spaces! There's a ton of empty landscape they can throw more monsters into!
8: Ninja
9: Thief
10: Ba..r___ ah phooey, GIMME A NINJA! 1 handed Katanas please!

1. A targeting system that works.
2. A UI that works.
3. A options for everything! (ie: auto attack on/off, make both types of players happy)
4. Mail and deliveries.
5. Player owned transportation on all scales big and small (chocobos/airships)
6. .....
really that's all I can come up with I am pretty easy to please.

1. Remove teleportation ~ add airships and chocobos (with quests for main access and remote areas)
2. Class specific gear with quests (AF, AF2...etc.), Level specific gear.
3. Campaign/Besieged like battles, these are extreme fun and one of the best things that where added to FFXI. Make the Hamlets usefull.
4. Beastmen tribes and their strongholds with instanced and free for all campaign like battles.
5. Long term goal oriented gear (relics).
6. Dungeons with repeatable and unique quests that open up more repeatable/unique quests (Assault/Nyzul/Salvage)
7. Targeting and general UI optimization (getting there slowly)
8. Rework the attribute system. Right now it is either not working or effects are too minimal to be usefull. Make +1 count and give the players the feedback that something really has changed. Right now it does F%^& all.
9. Work on the spells and spell effects, honestly, you really think you did a good job there?
10. Stop trying to re-invent the wheel. Learn from the 10 years of FFXI experience and bloody use it!
I agree with this one. They can still find another use for anima though. Perhaps limiting teleports only between crystals. Or an alternative cost for teleport spells.
