There's a fine line sometimes between different, and downright non user friendly. The OP mentioned the market system and I believe the wards is a prime example of and idea that sounded cool and different but in real world conditions creates a system that is clunky and simply sub par to other MMO's markets. Read into my topic I posted recently about possible solutions to the market wards.
Finally if people don't complain, devs don't know what to fix.
I guess likewise, if people don't complain about others complaints then the devs wouldn't know where the majority lies.
Complaining is good XD

TL: DR
/10char
My 1 gil is worth more than your 1 gil...
And yes, I did do /10char and typed in more than needed, I am just that awesome that i need to keep it in.

The least amount of characters a post can contain is 10. When a post doesn't reach that limit, people write /10char or other variants so their post is long enough.

There's a difference between constructive criticism and just criticism. People don't seem to understand that, or don't care.

So true my little Lalafell^^
And every single player has something they like and dislike, and the developers can never find a way to make 100% of its playerbase satisfied in all aspects of the game. If such a game/mmo excisted, there would be no need for more then that one game.
FFXIV has its shares of highs and lows. But same goes for WOW, Rift, Warhammer, Age of Conan, EVE, Anarchy Online, Aion. No MMO is perfect. I have learned to accept the things I look at as a minor inconvenicene, cause I know there might be others out there that like it that way.
If something annoyed me to a point where I would consider stop playing the game, then I would write down a constructive post to see if there was a way to mend that issue. Luckily I have no issues like that in game at this point^^
Im enjoying the game, and look forward to the future to see what Yoshi-P and his team has to offer^^
Some people have said yoshi is aiming to make FFXIV into the MMO equivalent of FF7.So true my little Lalafell^^

This is prudent thinking.
FF7 featured content that was loved by a much larger player-base than any FF game, and possibly any RPG in general, that came before or after. Some people will disagree with me on this because as you say, no one game can cater to the tastes of 100% of video game players, and no game has ever achieved it nor will they ever, but simply aiming towards the depth, diversity and sheer awesomeness of their most popular RPG is certainly something worth aiming for.
It's an ambitious goal, but if achieved, could result in the single most greatest mmo ever to grace our shiny blue and green planet. (to most of us at least)
