Most games associate content to account, not device when they're all connected together.
That's what I find weird.

Which brings me to Mac. How are they going to do that? WoW is a PC/Mac game. You can install that and its expansions(which are registered to account, not device) on four billion PCs or macs or combination thereof and not pay for another lisence...
Weird.

This is the only MMO I've ever played that's like this. I think it's great, though I'll never utilize a multi-platform account myself.
They've confirmed Mac will be considered a separate platform - you need a separate Mac license for it, too, I guess to keep it the same across the board. You can of course bootcamp it, but people already do that.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

I love the multi-platform on the same server! It's just awesome!
When the newness of a title wears off the multi-platform aspect on the same servers will help the communities stay big and that there will be plenty people online at all times!
And honestly they were pretty slick with the gamepad controls! The sheer amount of things you can do with the gamepad in this MMO is amazing! You can work side by side with the best Keyboard dungeon players with a little practice.
However, being able to have a key assigned to every part member helps a lot for Healers! Macros can help fill this role for consoles and gamepads. And if push comes to shove you can put a mouse and keyboard on the PS3 and PS4 and it's the same experience!

Ugh, why does this question come up soo many times.

I did a search for it, I did not find it. It must have been buried in other threads about different subjects. My apologies, I honestly have not been on the forums in years, but I did make a valid effort to not repeat a post. Even dug through 3-4 pages of Threads in general discussion and didn't see it. so it must not have been asked in awhile.

On what platform do he play at home?Yoshida commented on this issue. He did the same thing. Logged out on his account at the office in a HW zone, home comp lacked HW update, had to run back to office and relog in a ARR zone to play again.
To summarise, you'll be unable to access any character that's in a HW zone on a device that's lacks the HW update.
I was wondering this as well and hadn't seen an answer, thanks for the clarification.
