    doing guildhests

Until recently, I have never done one guildhest, so what I thought I'd do is switch back down to marauder with a few modifications and work my way up to the final one as warrior. I'm currently at the Lv20 bit.

By the way, are there any ones that seem tricky? Also, why aren't there any more after Lv40?

Lvl 10 guildhests might be tricky as marauder if you do not have flash, since you loose overpower. Otherwise those are just short dungeons.

For why they're aren't any past 40...alot of people wonder that too, mayhaps Heavensward will bring more.

For tricky ones, Ward Up (at lvl 40) is probably the most trick, because there are 5 adds that must all be killed within a few secs of the first one's death. Whats more (and annoying) they have three "formations", the first being one of them is made invulnarable. So you have to be careful with your damage and all that essentially.

Most of the Guildhests are pretty straightforward, almost tutorial like dungeons. They almost always have on screen text cues that will guide you to how to handle the mechanics at hand. I'd like to see more guildhests myself, they are good little trainers to teach players how to deal with adds and fight mechanics.

There are a couple of tricky ones, but not many, and most of those that are tricky are only that way because people don't listen to the mechanics that the game warns them about. The game really treats them as tutorials to get you used to the basic mechanics of gameplay as a group, as well as the idea that not all enemies can be fought by just purely DPSing them to death. Over all though, they're pretty easy so long as you pay attention to what the NPCs say.....

Solemn trinity, Ward up, Annoy the Void and Shadow and Claw are all relatively tricky.
Solemn Trinity is (when levelling) your first chance to be in an 8 man party.
Ward up involves staggard damage and communicating the best time to drop the bomb and finish all the mobs off at once.
Annoy the Void is one of the earliest times you can teach dps classes that the tank does not have to deal with everything, that they will have to go and do the mechanics sometimes.
Shadow and Claw is a good lesson in how to dodge everything. I mean, wow, so many aoes go off here it's mental.

I honestly hope there are more Guildhests in HW and moreover that they're absolutely required to enter hard content. They teach things you should really know so well.

The really tricky part about guildhests is that you have to read text popups and do what they tell you to. As long as you can master that complex mechanic, they're pretty easy.

Except the other people in the guildhest almost never follow on-screen directions and make things harder.

I don't know how many times the tank refused to move the Gil Turtle where it needs to go during Hero on the Halfshell...

My biggest complaint when I heal, is when tank aggroes goobbue instead of letting ranged dps pull the adds one by one.
