Despite the fact that calling my examples "retarded" is hardly nice of you, let me respond to your responses bit by bit.

The Warrior with the Berserk macro: Pacify is so short that in most cases, it isn't worth the healer's attention in the first place. The Warrior missing 2 GCDs there won't make much of a difference. It's certainly not worth spamming the sound effect to everyone every time - much less if your macro entails a sound effect for the start of Berserk, for 5 seconds remaining of Berserk, and for Pacify occuring. Yes, there are WARs out there with excessive macros like that.

Virus and Eye for an Eye. In content where there's only one person who has either of these skills? ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS. If you'd actually read the thread, you'd notice I'm asking for an option to disable them, not for the sound effects to be removed from the game. Trust me, I'm a pretty damn good judge of which content sound effects will help me in and in which content they won't. Neither Virus nor E4E are particularly important in any 4 man dungeons for example, so why do you have a problem with it if I turn sound notifications off there?

The healer who raises. Again. 4 player content, yeah? Just 1 healer, right? No raise macro needed for anyone who has eyes. I have eyes.

And since you're suggesting to vote kick; Vote Kick can only be initiated every couple hours. Too many macro users to kick them all, and honestly, kicking them is so unnecessary when all I want is a way to mute their sound effect spam. Better for everyone if I can just mute it and they can keep on doing what they're doing without getting kicked.

So, you don't really understand why I'm bothered by sound effects, and I don't understand why you're bothered by me asking for an option to turn them off.

How about 4 player content with Summoner inside? I know people will say "Why Summoner should bother raise someone?", but majority I met Summoner raise someone with case "To help healer while the healer in struggle with tanks so I'll do the raise skill".

Usually healer put raise macro with sound effect and message so there's won't be double raise. And my message is "気をつけてください!<se.9><se.9>" (Please be careful!)

Either you both react at pretty much the same time, and all the sounds hit at the same time (and don't help anyone, because you've both already hit the macro), or one of you reacts first and the other sees the Raise buff and doesn't try to raise someone who's already been raised. Either way, the sounds accomplish nothing.

Then it's not hard for that 1 SMN to either raise first, or pay attention to what the healer's doing.

Is he raising the dead guy?
Yes? Good stuff, no need to do anything.
    No? Then raise him, SMN.

Macro sounds can be useful in some situations, as I said in the OP already. But, depending on the person, there are many more situations where they aren't useful at all. And for those situations I'd love to have the option to simply mute them.
I'll repeat again, I'm not asking for those sound notifications to be removed from the game, I just want them to be OPTIONAL. They can be default ON for everyone, but let people who don't need them turn them OFF because they're nothing but a nuisance in 90% of the content.

I think a better way to manage is if the character is black listed, the sounds won't play from them! That way the feature doesn't become useless for players that use it correctly.

This would be fine if we could blacklist people during duty. Which we can't. So that suggestion is, unfortunately, completely pointless, because duties are the place where those sound effects are used most of the time.

I'm all for an extended cross-server blacklist, however, so if they give us that, that takes care of the issue just fine. I'll just blacklist people who use too many sound macros for my liking and we can call it a day. But I think it'd be so much easier to just implement a "Disable <se.#> notifications Yes/No" option.

Those sounds effects on warriors for pacification annoy me to no end, to the point if the warrior uses them, typically im not gonna esuna/leech them. I'm a good enough healer and pay attention enough to not need this.
