Can we please have an option to disable the <se.#> effects?

    Hi there.

These sound effects can be useful, but they can also be very annoying when people use them in an excessive, unnecessary manner.

For example, take the WAR who spams 1-2 sound effects every time they use Berserk and/or want their resulting Pacify to be Esuna'd.
Or the SCH/SMN whose Virus and/or Eye for an Eye triggers a sound effect every time.
Or the BRD who uses sound effects to let you know they just used Blunt Arrow. Again. And again, because they're using it as part of their DPS rotation.
Add to that the Ninja who just applied his 10 second debuff with a sound effect and the DRG who's lying dead on the floor, causing the WHM to raise him with a sound effect macro.

As I said, those effects can be useful in some content, with some abilities, so I'm definitely not asking for them to be removed entirely, but I do think it would be very nice to have an option to disable those <se.#> effects, without having to disable anything else alongside them.

    {Steel Cyclone} {Just used it.} <se.1> <se.3> <se.5> <se.6> <se.14> AOOGA AOOGA

But in all seriousness I wouldn't mind the option to disable them.

You already have one. It's called turning sound off.

I'm not so needlessly picky and/or entitled that I can't handle muting the sound for a while if I get some obnoxious spammer in a party.

The part you must have missed the first time is in bold, for easier reading.

I find it silly to blacklist people over macros. I mean you either find them in DF, never to see them again or someone on your server. Ideally it's better to just have a Sound effect on/off button. It's easier than turning off general sounds or blacklisting people.

Personally I -added- a sound effect to my party chat, because I actually use sound a lot when I'm playing and I found myself missing things in the chatbox (so just think of a ping going off when someone is ALSO spamming their macro). So macro sounds don't bother me, except for the one my friend has made which includes all macro sounds done about five times all at once oh my god-

Anyway. I'm all for options so this would be a good thing to add when people just get fed up, I suppose.
