Converting small house to fc, possible?

Is there a way you can convert your personal small house to fc house?

Bought a personal small house since it's the last small plot available on the server.
Then friends wanna come to join as a company.

We all play casual, so it's not easy to make millions for medium and large plot.

Please if anyone can confirm.

There is no way to do this currently. You'd have to relinquish the plot (stash w/e you wanted to keep from deco's on a retainer) and then have whomever is the FC leader buy the property as an FC plot and rebuild/refurnish the house again. You would end up paying full price for the plot (this varies per server) and would want to make sure to do it lickity split (be standing at the sign ready to buy) so some else doesn't run up and snag the vacant space.

I'm not sure what the economy is like on your server but if your group can do something like farm Timeworn Dragonskin Maps each day (super easy for casuals but requires a maxed gathering profession) and then do them you can make a fair amount of pocket change. In addition if you get any of the coveted Thavnarian Silk/Leather you can sell those to help your funds. On my server they sell now for about 450,000 gil per piece (sometimes the silk drops in stacks of 3).

Alternatively, if you all go the map route, you guys can stash maps on retainers and mail them to each other (since they're unique items). Once you have a bundle you guys can set aside a time that you're all available to do them.

That might be a possibility when they implement the transfer system. I took their news about that to mean more that FC's or individuals would be easily able to swap between house sizes but not that they would be able to swap with each other. Would be cool though!
