It wasn't luck.

You had to balance Durability for touchups as well as manage Quality for HQ chance, as well as manage your skills and abilities because they popped randomly. Crafting finished items was a fine art, and obviously you never did much crafting?

Guaranteeing an HQ by farming mats means that instead of everything i just listed above, players will simply standard-bash their way to success. Not skilful.

Sorry, but that is just making crafting more boring than it already is.

You say crafting was boring now, well wait until patch 1.20! then you will know the real meaning of boring.

Maybe you should go play TERA or Blade and Soul. THose games don't have an emphasis on crafting.

I think the more they mutilate crafting, the less appealing this game will be. This game is practically "craftville" at the moment. Why would they take the crafting out of craftville? "Nothingville" is not a game.
I won't be playing those games, because you'll be playing them too. I like said it's GW2 for me. Besides I wouldn't have to move, if XIV moving towards what those other games are doing in regards to crafting.

Anyway even though you have to balance your durability and quality, it was still based on a random number generator. I rather know if I have 700 quality or 1000 quality that I'm gonna have a +3 item instead of it being randomly determined. And if less useful or rare items are made from crafting, then so be it.
