    Seems like things just keep knackering up for them in one way or another. A week or two ago Lizard Squad was attacking them again. Who knows what is going on now.
    I thought we only needed psn for the luncher, and after that we were on Square Enix servers? o.O

    PS4 periodically checks in with PSN in the background. Part of their licensing and anti-piracy thing...sort of like the old DNAS server they used for PS2. PS3 manages it differently so those users are typically less impacted by ongoing issues with PSN.
