    Investigation: Spoiler House in Ishgard

This might get shut down very quickly, so we must be swift.

If you watch the last live letter on twitch around 32 minutes, the little black mage Lala enters a room with a lone figure inside with wath appears to be a moogle pom pom on its head. We barely see the name of the room before Yoshie-P panics and runs outside. We saw something we weren't meant to see. Now of course we could wait out release, since it is less than a month away, but there is no fun in that. We must make Inspector Hildibrand proud.

Unfortunately, the video quality is not HD enough so it is almost impossible to make out all the letter. The name of the spoiler house consists of a kanji, rerareta in hiragana(which is an indicator for passive voice if i'm not mistaken) and three more kanjis, the middle of which is the kanji for earth.

Did anyone get a good luck at the missing letters?

What we seen was one of the Debug teams NPCs. At least according to Yoshi P and the woman he was showing the game off with. They were basically playing metal gear solid from that point forth in a effort to avoid those NPCs.

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up so quickly. I was hoping we got a glimpse of a secret new feature, but at least the mistery was solved. You are a true gentleman inspector.

It's a fairly common practice. If the NPCs/assets aren't finished and placed (a very real concern in a game where each one has to be made by hand like FFXIV) then the debug teams will use premade models to fill the gap.
This is why you get things like the infamous "cat room" in EQ1:

Since the debuggers care about finding bugs and not what an NPC looks like, they have a lot more freedom...and thus the naked man in the moogle cap is born.
Most of the time it gets dummied out or replaced by the time things go live, but it can persist if debugging wasn't completely finished when they added the models or there's an oversight of some kind. ESO had this problem during its launch too.

    You mean this?
I died when I saw it.

But yeah, it's debugging so. I mean, it's not finished yet, so I could see why it's there.

Yep, this is the one. Hoped the room itself was a secret, but I guess it's was just this pervert who scared yoshie. Now I totally want this guy to show up in the next hildi questline.

The first kanji looks like 忘れる (wasureru - to forget) while the other three are a little too hard to read. I thought at first the last one was 夢 (yume - dream), though the more I look at it the more I am doubting it!

It is indeed passive tense, so would mean forgotten. The second kanji of the three relates to gentlemanly things, and is part of the words for things such as knight (騎士 - kishi) and soldier (戦士 - senshi) so it could be something like the forgotten soldier, like the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier under the Arc de Triomphe?

Wow. You are good. If it is something about gentlemanly things it might be related to the Manderville's. Perhaps the naked guy really IS Godbert
