Please, Lightning Event before Heavensward Start

Plenty of online games out there have special events that come and go every few weeks or months. I would like to see more of that in FFXIV, but not just the one-and-done quests we have had for FFXI, DQ. The lightning returns event is closer to what I want. Basically, every few weeks there would be an "invasion" event, there could be a farmable token like with the FFXIII fates, and you could spend the tokens on new cosmetics based on the event theme. There could be an event every 2 or 3 weeks, existing events would rotate while a new event is added every few months, and each time an event returns there would be new items associated with it, such as weapons from FFXIII for the four new classes that have been added.

Why get rid of events when you can EXPAND on them?

Honestly though if it was a one time event I understand why people would be slightly irked. I personally don't care cause i was playing the game when it happened so I got my stuff.

That's the rub. If you want special items you need to be around when the events happen.

I have not requested anything. If it's not possible, well it's ok. You don't have to be so spiteful. It's just a Haircut i would like to have. What's so bad about that?

But that's precisely what they've BEEN doing with their seasonal events. Each one has been different from the last.
For example, the New Years event has changed each time since it's going to be a different animal each year.
The Valentine's Day even has actually been a continuing story, as has the Easter events
The Hinamatsuri event has also been different each year

The only ones that haven't changed have been the three crossover events, mostly because they don't really NEED to be different. The Lightning event, though, would need 4 new weapons.

Really, though, I don't mind/care if they put her hair/outfits/weapons up in the GS/Cash Shop/Calamity Salvager/In everyone's mail box just because, but I would really prefer that there be new events with new rewards. I already did that event and got those rewards. And it was fun and all, but, like, maybe something different would be more fun?
