unlocking dye recipes

I managed to get some of my crafts above 30 and I do not see any dye recipies, some of the sources I read state that they are level 30 recipes . Is this still true and I am simple not looking in the right menu or is there some quest I need to look for to unlock them?

The only quest I remember doing is the first quest to unlock dyes lvl 15 after that a menu will be at the very bottom of your crafting menu where the house craft is located.

You should get them automatically at 30. They should show up in a separate section in the crafting log. Underneath "Recipe Level" and the various level ranges listed there, there should be a "Special Recipes" section with Dyes as its own category.



I wasn't aware of any pre-requisite before getting them. If there is any, I must have already done it before hitting 30, as the Dye section showed up automatically for me at that point.

That's my bet. He hasn't unlocked dying, so he's not getting his dye recipes.

already did the level 15 quest that unlocks the dye ability, I just don't see the dye recipes on my list now that i am 30, I do see a housing and beast tribe recipes even though I am haven't done anything with either of those.

Did anyone figure out the issue with his? I was curious too and just became a lvl 30 Goldsmith, but don’t have the recipes underneath my normal list of things.

The crafting UI has changed since this thread was created. The Special Recipes list is now a second tab, right above the list of normal recipes.
