Thread: Can We Get a Housing System Update for 3.0? New Wards Confirmation?

Basically what the topic says.

To my knowledge there has yet to be 100% confirmation that 3.0 will bring new wards to the existing city states. All we have had confirmed is that there will be no Ishgardian Housing Ward for at least 12-24 months.


What I am hoping for is entirely new (and different) wards for the cities instead of the clunkly sub-ward system. I know that is a pipe dream. But we need something.

Please give us confirmation that we are getting a large number of new housing wards with Heavensward's launch. Many servers are 100% full.

There was also talk on the forums about new features that allowed for the sale/transfer/upgrade from one house to another. Is this feature still being worked on? Will it make it into 3.0? If not, when? 3.1? 3.2? far future?

Lastly, there was also talk about Eternal Bond partners gaining access to their partner's housing. Is this still a thing? Can we get some more information on this.

Basically, those of us that are in love with housing have been left in the dark about the content that means the most to us. Please help us out with some information/confirmation. If not on the forums, can we get a blog or a Duty Commenced that discusses this type of content?

This is because on most servers, homes are abandoned by people who quit months or over a year ago.

There is an FC on my server called The Returners. I have a thread on my server asking about the FC as I want to use the name, and more importantly, I want to utilize the abandoned housing spot. SE did not impliment any system to relinquish any housing plots due to crybabies.

Meh, it will only get fixed once SE implements a time limit for inactive subscriptions and a system to relinquish the Limited house plots.


I am curious about the sharing of a house with eternal bond members as well as friends list. Nothing has been said recently at all regarding any of this and it has caused me some concern.

Wouldn't hold your breath. The reason they gave for not having ishgard housing at launch was that the servers would already be under a crazy amount of pressure from all the other stuff being added. Housing is very server-intensive, so I doubt they're gonna add any more until they've had some time to see how the servers manage during launch. So your far more likely to get 100% confirmation that they're not adding new wards, especially not a large number.

I see on Reddit an interview from Nantes about the new ward for the housing is coming to 3.1. I hope the new ward come for 3.0 not 3.1 ^^

I understand the server load issues. But when you are adding content that specifically requires housing and there is not nearly enough of said housing to go around, you need to give more access.

We have had conflicting responses that there may be new housing wards in 3.0 and some say 3.1. So I would like some confirmation. This may not be a huge deal on some servers, but on Gilgamesh there has been a total of 2 houses up for sale in months.
