Level Sync to "old content" in Heavensward

New here so bear with me and point me towards the appropriate information if possible.

Some mates and I just began playing and while it's unlikely we're going to be ready by the time that the expansion drops, we're keen to try the current endgame content (Coils, etc.) at the appropriate level and difficulty as well as the new things in the expansion--we don't want to miss out on content just because it's "dated."

My question is whether we'll have an option to level/gear sync into the current endgame content once Heavensward is released (in the same way level/gear syncs to current low level dungeons for things like duty roulette).

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe level sync will be in place for old content. I believe people tested the old raids/content with level 60 characters but were synced to 50.

There will be an option to bypass level sync with a less than full party. This thread has some info on it:
