I've found an interview on a german game site.

Some interesting stuff was told there.

The number of 4 million player shall be the number of people, that at least had a subscription at some point.

Actually there shall be 2 million active players.

The EU datacenter is still work in progress. There will be a downtime of 2 to 3 days for moving (or better copying) the existing state to the new servers.

Yoshida actually plays Bloodborne.

Existing ones will be moved, according to a French interview. The same interview also mentions that PS3 goes RIP at the end of 3.x.

Those are some very strong numbers, based on what you've posted.

Though you'd never know it if you frequent these forums too much, because a lot of people here are convinced the game is being destroyed by a variety of reasons (or by a certain group of players), in addition to the overall negativity usually displayed by the playerbase(s).

Kudos to Square Enix, and the silent majority that just plays and enjoys the game for what it is!
