    A new arcane seeking advice

I'm on trial at the moment (I'm really digging this game!!! and plan to buy!)

I've got a level 10 Arcane seeking equipment. I see merchants selling equipment for other classes, but no one seems to be selling equipment for arcane. The only equipment that I can find wearable is flagged for "All Classes"

Am I just too little or am I not looking in the right place?

    Any help is appreciated.

I am assuming you mean Arcanist. Any Mage like armor will do. At your level it is the stuff wearable by any class. Armor that increases int is what you want.

Mage gear, at least at the lower levels, is commonly wearable by all classes; melees will wear the more restricted gear that give much better defense. Other responder is correct--you'll mostly want int. determination is also good; mind is good for healing but Arcanist doesn't generally do a lot of that (you'll queue for duties as a damage dealer).

The gears that says all classes are usually meant for mages just look for gears that have INT as one of the stats, when you switch to either summoner (INT) or scholar (MND) at lv 30 you should look for gears with those stats

There are four basic sorts of gear that are wearable by all classes: Gear that's designed for magic classes (with stat boosts for Intelligence and Mind), gear that's designed for crafting classes (which boosts Craftsmanship, Control, and/or CP), gear that's designed for gathering classes (which boosts Gathering, Perception, and/or GP), and gear that exists only for cosmetic purposes (which lacks any useful stat boosts).

For stuff being sold from NPC vendors, they'll group all the gear for DoW and DoM classes into "Battle Gear" and all the crafting/gathering gear into "Field Gear". So the gear listed under "Battle Gear" that's wearable by all classes is the mage stuff.

Through the early levels, there isn't any gear differentiation between healer gear and gear for damage dealer magic classes. It's just caster gear that boosts both Int and Mnd. As you move further up in levels, there will start being some that boosts just one or the other, at which point healers want the Mind items and damage dealer casters want the Intelligence items. As Arcanist, you're considered a damage dealer, but once you reach level 30 you'll have a choice of which job(s) to unlock. If you become a Summoner, you'll still be a damage dealer and still want Intelligence gear. If you become a Scholar, you'll be a healer and want Mind gear. You can also unlock both and alternate between them.
