    Yoshi P said the first gear you get after getting level 60 (the darklight equivalent) will be ilvl 170.


    170 being start point it will go up from there. Gear progression looks like
    Allagan Tomestone of Law, normal Alexander equipment, materia melded equipment, Allagan Tomestone of Esoterics (upgrade), savage Alexander equipment.

    Personally I think this seems about right its a good enough jump from lv50 gear.

    i feel it's a loooot of stuff per tiers, with the add of the 24 raid, you will have 6 full stuff per tier, it's insane. way too much.

    ps: i feel the fact to add a whole ilevel difference between savage and normal is an error by itself, if it was me, i will have give set bonus and capacity to dye the gear from the savage, but the same ilevel than the normal.

    Prolly won't happen as then those would become mandatory to have to boost so and so ability duration/potency. Ex: Boost the potency of Jump by 100. Every DRG will need it. Don't have it? You're not included into whatever content.

    Yeah that sounds like a stupid idea sir. Procs and Effects that add things like +Critical Damage, Potency are horrible for balance.

    The thing with procs and special effects or additional damage is that the ilvl gap between armor tiers has to be much higher to obsolete an effect from last tier. Happened in WoW which had set bonuses that may of enhanced an ability or made it do more damage or more crit or whatever. To make sure people would use the new set from the new raid the base stats had to be so much higher so people would use it.

    As I explained. Things that make things do more damaged, potency are horrible for game design.

    Perfect balance only matters in PvP.

    XI's gear system currently blows XIV's out of the water with ease.

    Everything is pure linear. I can tell you the stats on the ILvl 600 Pld Body at this moment because it is as complex as draging down on an excell spread sheet.

    Easy to Balance =/= Good Game Design. It =s bland game design.
