i hope they put some more creativity in the beastmen strongholds then the did with the setlements.
i love exploring dangerous outposts.
i don't expect it to be some kind of ghelsba outpost #2, but it would rock if they tried to make it something like ghelsba used to be.
can't wait for 1.19, i want to explore all those new things allready XD

No my post says that the presentation of this new feature lacks any details and leaves many mechanics unanswered which a dev will have to come and answer. It is very much against the game.
A few friends had a look, skimmed it and all thought were "meh a little stronghold, nothing new, probably have people camping them". And right from that you realise that it could easily be instanced, but it doesn't say anywhere, thus missing information leading people with the wrong conclusions.
And as the thread expresses, many more have different opinions and ideas of it, when it should just be point blank illustrated.

Your friends are fools then for jumping to conclusions. Hard to pin that one on the devs.A few friends had a look, skimmed it and all thought were "meh a little stronghold, nothing new, probably have people camping them".
It's pretty clear that they have a strategy of releasing some info every 2 or 3 business days to keep us interested until the new patch actually arrives in what, 2 weeks now? There's little point in laying out each and every detail all at once; it takes away a lot of the surprise when the patch actually hits.
For example, Chocobos. We all know they are coming but we know next to nothing about how they are exactly going to work. And that's a good thing! Nothing ruins a movie faster than a preview which gives away the plot.

Every customer in the world does this, its not foolish, its being efficient to your judgment.
If one game wows you with very little and another game cant do it, i think its the fault of the developers, ya know since some developers know how "consumers glance".
Also this is just daft, you do know exactly how it works. You rent, you ride it. Its a mount and thats pretty much it, but also guess what? No patch notes about it, so you cant express that. It's pretty clear that they have a strategy of releasing some info every 2 or 3 business days to keep us interested until the new patch actually arrives in what, 2 weeks now? Better example would be airship, but oh yes they said it would take seconds! So we know how that works, you get on and you instant port to your location, with a cutscene in the middle, it was all in the notes.
This notes does not state weather its instanced, or limited, or cap limits or any drops or anything, the dungeons all did this, so that makes me think this is just some typical stronghold like the others we have, except its in a more narrow place so you fight your way through, like Kaiden camps in Aion. But i could be wrong but the bad quality of the note leaves us wildly speculating.

btw, the stronghold isn't 1. They just showed 1 :|| why people can't read the articles to bottom before shit bricks ?
More beastman strongholds and numerous other notorious monsters aside from those mentioned above will descend to plague Eorzea come patch 1.19

Aw man, i have had to use the Ignore feature of the forum for the first time ever while reading this thread.
Such a shame.
I am looking forward to Strongholds. I don't think people should get their hopes up too high though. Rather than a Castle or a Davoi i think they will be more like the Outpost or umm can't remember what the Yagudo equivalent.
Do you think there will be beastmen NPCs in there?
