    Paladin Novus stats

    Hey guys,

I haven't been able to find any current information on how Paladins should place stats on the novus weapon and shield.

Is there a current best practice for this?

If there is already information out there, can someone post a link. I have not been able to find anything.

    Thanks.

Its going to depend on what you can afford. Unless you got all your materia through SB'ing, its going to be expensive, especially when you get to the high tier ones if you are going for max. I split all mine between ACC/DET/CRIT. And it cost me, as I only had a few low end materia from ventures. All in all it ran me around 4-5 million. You're on my server, when I did max DET the materia was around 400k each, had a few fails, haven't checked lately to see if that price has gone up or down, dust off the ole checkbook.

Here's a few threads that popped up on this outside of these forums:

The tl;dr of it all is basically this, though:

If you want to take a little less damage, use Parry. If you want to deal a little more damage, use Crit and Det. If you're looking to forge Heavensward with a Zeta or you'll need it to hit a cap right now, Accuracy won't hurt. If you want to save money, split into three stats and avoid Grade IV melds.

I went for Parry/Det. I don't raid really, so I ditched the Crit for some added mitigation. I stuck with Det tho since it scales well with Flash, and still helps my damage a little. Not to mention, Parry materia are way cheaper than Crit, so I could afford to splurge on Det. :3

Depending on what you want to do there are multiple options. Keep in mind also there will be a new relic for 3.0 which you supposedly trade your zeta in for to get progression on the new one. Currently the acc cap is 558 for t13. I would do crit/det on sword and set/acc on the shield only because I use str accs and am missing the needed acc with that build. Like I said totally depends on what you intend to do. Dungeons acc doesn't really matter same with WoD and other content coil tho you need the acc.

As stated before tho I wouldn't spend millions at the moment just because we don't know what is comb with 3.0 relic. You can spend 10m+ on all the crit/det and get a skillspeed/parry weapon. Choice is yours tho.

    sword: acc22/crit9/det22
    shield: det9/crit13

makes it somewhat cheaper while getting dmg up
u need 22 to get the full bonus at zeta stage

Does it really matter? there's gonna be new relics in heavensward anyway so you'll never be using the current relics again, just chuck on whatever is cheapest for you
