as the people above suggested, you can go for the IW as an upgrade atm... I'm also in Novus stage, but i gave up on it for now to make iw upgrade. In heavensward the current relic stages will be further nerfed so there is time to complete it then, but in 3.1 the new relics will be introduced. Imo, go for the iw, start a crafting-gathering class if you haven't, complete story quests and save your gil so you can be ready when hw is launched.
