During the past couple weeks I have read several articles and interviews in which Yoshi-P or a member from the development team has stated "this change (improvement to the game) is scheduled to come out at the release of FFXIV on PS3. The things I am talking about are missing genders being introduced, added content to air ship rides, New class/jobs, a mailing system and residential area. I am thankful for all the changes that have been made thus far as wells the changes scheduled to take place in the upcoming patch. I really am, however I feel that the comments made by Yoshi-P and the Dev's warrants an answer as to when the PS3 version might be released. I'm not asking for a date set in stone, just an estimated ball park of when they feel it will be ready. If you know that there is new content you will be implementing at the release of PS3 then you must know how long it should take you to develop and implement it within the new system of game play you are developing. You must have a general idea, a dead line you're shooting for. These changes sound wonderful but to be tight lipped, even elusive with the information as to when it will be released is unwise. It might appear to some that you are stringing along the faithful FFXIV community. Perhaps you're dangling a carrot in front of our faces to keep us playing. Players such as my self have been playing from the start. We like carrots but we'ed like to know how far we have to walk before we finally get to enjoy that carrot. Several people already have the jobs they want at 50 or close to it. I worry that if you do not give a possible date for these improvements many ppl may get tired of chasing that carrot and quit. I hope that my concern is clear and the Development team responds with understanding. Really I just want a possible release date for these great additions to FFXIV. Seeing as you've stated that the release date for these improvements is tied into the release date of the game on PS3 I feel it is fair to ask for that date.
By the way, I have browsed the forums for this topic. Although I have found other post they weren't quite the same. If this post is similar to another most I missed please feel free to tie them in together or send me a link.
Really I know I said "carrot" a bit more then I have wanted. I really just want to get my point across. I hope it doesn't distract from the massage as a whole.
