Instant Macros, yes please!?

Dear Devs

Can we please have macros executing all lines almost instantly like in FFXI? It is really annoying to press a 10-line macro and to have to wait for 20 seconds and up to 10 "blinks" for it to execute in full. I don't have an issue with 1 blink for a full gear change, I do with 10.

It's annoying enough that actions are not being saved on a per class basis (I am aware this will be fixed later) and we are forced to make up to 3 action bar macros per class, at least make these macros much faster.

Nothing is "instant" in this game due to the way the client works with servers.

Essentially every single time you press a button, or type a macro code, the client sends a request to the server, which in turn has to confirm what you're doing.

Because of this there is minor/major lag on every single input/command you do. They have stated multiple times that they are working on fixing this but it doesn't look like it'll happen anytime soon.

I am aware of how the game currently works which is why I am requesting this change! And I believe it is not a major change at all

At the moment, as you said, when I execute a macro, each line is sent to the server one by one, they could change this so that when you press your macro button, the whole 10 statements are sent to the server in one big string, then have the server break this up into commands, validate and execute them... and that whole round trip would take no more than 2 secs for the user, 1 blink, and 10 lines executed

Well unfortunately it IS a major change because everyone has been asking for it from as far back as Alpha and Beta, and it still hasn't been fixed.

Unfortunately we're going to have to keep on waiting.

Yes, please...

It's like there's a hidden /wait 1 after each line or something... The game supports equipping multiple pieces of gear and abilities at once, why not have the macros work that way?
