Can we please cool it with the macros?

Not seen many macro spammers tbh. Worst I saw was a SCH. He had a macro for every single ability as if casting harry potter spells.

To be fair, even when I'm on DPS, those macros annoy me so much. Thanks for diverting my attention to the chat box and spamming it. Only way they could be worse is if they could add strobe lights to the macro.

Let's add the Gold Saucer music to it too.

We honestly don't care when we could be using those 5 seconds to save someone else's life rather than making it so you don't have to sit there for 5 whole seconds (heaven forbid).

I don't think macros themselves are bad.

It's just how some people spam it over /p or /a.

I mean, even if a "Raising <t>!" macro would be spammed again and again, wouldn't it be annoying?

I just took off a "Provoke <t>!" off my macro list because some BRDs can't tell that I'm trying to take agro. I accidentally spammed it for 3 times in 5 seconds. So, yeah.

But I do have macros for swiftraise, Berserk, Hallowed, and my summons. Although the summons are just /say. And no, I don't spam those. I just want some bit of RP, that's all.

I was in a t5 run the other day with some friends and friends of friends. Someone had a Divebomb macro that had sound. They would spam it about 15 times back to back for each divebomb. We had to ask him to stop using it because it was messing up some people who were using the sound queue for when to move. Thankfully, they stopped spamming and that really helped the group out.

For awhile when I first got Shield Lob, I had a silly macro for it that I used, but only with friends.

Once did a DD run with a monk who had Street Fighter macros for all his moves.

Was pretty funny, for about 30 seconds, after that I just wanted to kill him.

Make me want to NOT Esuna you. In fact I want to stop healing you but I don't want to waste time reviving your annoying ass.

I love these macros actually, but I take it as a suggestion. If I'm healing someone, that's going to take priority over your 5 second pacification but otherwise I love the notification for it.
