I always ignore berserk macros because I'm not sitting around waiting for your pacification debuff to show up. Usually it comes up when I'm already casting something else. I'd rather not interrupt my healing/ DPSing to give a warr under 5 extra seconds of DPS.

I only have a few skills that are tied to be "I'm using (insert skill here)!", particularly the ones that are most important for others in the party to be aware of. For example, whenever I use my "Oh shi-" actions like Hallowed Ground, it helps to let the healers (and the rest of the party) know I just turned on my invincible mode, and won't be able to do so again for awhile. Off the top of my head, these are my shout out macros with sound:

    Raise/Resurrection

    Benediction (But not Lustrate)

    Hallowed Ground

    Holmgang

    Trick Attack

    Mantra (Considering removing this one)

    Virus

Provoke (Useful in parties with more than one tank and tank swapping is a thing)

Protect (Because impatient folk and all who just take off without thinking. Some do so anyway even when I use this macro)

Eye 4 an Eye (In hopes that someone else won't waste theirs instantly upon seeing this message pop up)

... I think that's it. All the other chat macros are just custom emote macro messages that I use rarely. I set these up to have sound played along with a chat message because I kept bumping into players who would attempt to do the same thing moments after I did it myself. (Save for Hallowed Ground and Holmgang. Different story there) So no, I'm not sorry if my macro annoys you... because that's partially the point behind it. I'm TRYING to get your attention.

If I didn't keep running into the problem of people trying to do something moments after I did something already, and if over half the random groups I end up with in Duty Finder paid more attention to mechanics (see WoD), I probably would have never bothered making shout out macros.

I also firmly believe that any decent player knows for fact that while helpful, macros aren't perfect either. I have yet to find something so flawless that everyone agrees that there's nothing wrong with it. I've had my share of running into players with pointless macro shout outs too. I've also made the occasional wrong macro shout out myself. (Of which I'll try to crack a joke about afterwards, calling myself on it and seeing if I can get someone to laugh at my error)

The only one I use is for a swift-raise. I really don't like the other spammy macros myself.

I would like it if I could have a logic check for a successful cast.

I only have macros for Raise/Resurrection, Provoke, and Eye for an Eye. Raise and E4E are so that another caster doesn't waste theirs.

We so desperately need this. There's nothing more embarrassing than having your macroed quote pop up because you pressed the button a little too soon, only to have it immediately pop up again when you press the button to successfully cast it.....

Or, more frequently in my case, the macro pushes text to /p and fails to target properly because the person I was raising either got raised by someone else who made no notification, or the jerk-face decided to return.

To be fair, even when I'm on DPS, those macros annoy me so much. Thanks for diverting my attention to the chat box and spamming it. Only way they could be worse is if they could add strobe lights to the macro.
