Controller ftw XD I used Xpadder to map scroll lock, then i just hold left bumper, can move with left stick and rotate cam with mouse!!!!!
I fully support the use of pink.I have already voted for green for optimal, but after reading some of the additional comments - I have been thinking about a different color for just above optimal. Maybe pink or possibly orange would be better for just above optimal - both colors contain red and could signify "getting closer to the red zone, caution."
The yellow could be used as the slightly less than optimal color, heading down towards the grey zone. Still indicating caution, warning - danger ahead.
Because I like pink (b'.')b
The only thing I don't like is that the gear colors don't apply to the stat boosts as well. They should have used that to help indicate stat differences as well.
I don't have a controller though. I tried forcing ScrLk down using the software keyboard thing, but it doesn't apply to FFXIV for some reason.
Support Green for optimal
I like green because you think of it as getting a green light. Everything's good to GO!
I would vote green as optimal for a natural and cooler color. Yellow is a heat color and implies building up out of the natural direction.
Referring back to my older post for current readers. I recommend this over anything else because there are so many different opinions out there.Actually I have a good idea that would work better. Let us edit the colors via chat log options or color options ourselves. That way everyone could get what they want because if it is like that bright green Nabiri posted with a second ago I would likely scream. That color is so obnoxiously bright it hurts my eyes to look at it for more than a brief second.
That way I would see the optimal rank of the gear I want in white and others will be happy to make it green. It probably wouldn't be such a hard thing to make happen I would assume either. Considering Matsui is a genius when it comes to UI programming.
