Is the micro menu the thing that by default is in the bottom right hand side of the screen? Does this mean instead of Triangle opening the emote menu, I can now use it to select that bottom right menu and open the Item Usage menu for the first time via controller only?

    If so, that's pretty cool.

No mention of being able to hide the help text when you select an action. :<

I know this is only a little thing but I'd like to make a request in regards to the UI's targetting:

Make it possible to target KO'd/Dead players

I don't seem to be able to do this outside of pressing spells like 'Raise' first then targetting the player, and that always throws me off-balance in the middle of a fight as other spells such as healing, buff and attack spells all allow the player to select the target first before selecting the spell to use.

Yellow represents the fact that a piece of gear needs to be repaired, why put a color that already has a "negative" representation into a new system as a "positive" one?

Also, Rentahamster is right. The dev team is making this system convoluted for no real reason.

While this works great for rating things such as enemy levels (as was in the game until earlier this year), the big problem with applying this to optimal rank for gear is that...after you reach the optimal level, it doesn't get any "easier" to use. You don't gain any more benefit; once you reach the optimal level, you have the full stats. Therefore, there wouldn't be any reason for the gear to progress from yellow to green and finally blue, as in your example.

I disagree. I would say it should be like this:

    RED too high
Yellow is like a warning, so it would be slightly too high
WHITE for equal to or just right level
Light Blue or a Light Green for slightly lower than par
Grey being the lowest, a visible but dull gray that says this item is clearly inadequate

I think people are obviously going to think certain colors are better on what they associate those colors with. I think most people associate Green with street lights, or certain phrases like "The Board is Green" or "We've got the Green Light."

I think the current plan is a little misleading though. Certain pieces of gear are still useful past their optimal range, and some players may get confused when one of their best pieces of gear suddenly turns grey for example.

The best way to handle this is to have simply 2, maybe 3 colors. First One color associated with the gear not being 100% effective and another for being 100% effective. My personal choices would be a red/orage for the former and a light green for the latter.

Then, if you wanted, you could have an intermediate color, yellow would be the most logical at this point, that would represent being in between the two in terms of effectiveness.

I'd say green. I'm thinking of traffic lights in the United States though. Green = Good to go. Yellow = Use Caution. Red = Stop/Emergency.

Mitch Hedburg has a joke involving that concept but with bananas so I could see how Mitch Herdburgians might get confused.
