Exactly! The idea was great when it was released, but it's not helping any longer. The greatest challenge to this are people like me who didn't care about a guildhest and didn't do any of them until L50. But the only way to play the one that the NPC wanted was by defeating every - single - one, one after another. The queues were just ridiculous and there was never a time anywhere throughout the entire story mode that we ever had to do them. With how leveling works and the dungeon progression, they were never necessary for me because the game did a good enough job without them.
