I wouldn't say that there has been an increase. People have been terrible to each other, continued being terrible to each other, and will still be terrible to each other. No matter if it's the open hostility, the use of profanity, or, my favorite, the passive anger of a dot dot dot (...) to let us all know how insufferable you are, it's been a steady thing since the launch of the game.
