But what about the people that don't about the lodestone? We're missing out on those people!!!!thats not the point. the point is certain players will not touch the forums and those players are "different" and like "different" things than the people on the forums due (obviously since they arent inclined to use the forums). By listening to people on the forums only , you only get the opinions of a biased group of people (forum users) while you miss out on the opinions of all others.
the big players poll was done right in january. That was a fairly statistically proper survey.
thats understandable but a lot of players will get turned off this game if it doesn't have one.I agree, like everyone doesn't want to read your solo or lore guides. Also I don't care if an MMO has a detailed wiki, I'm just saying a MMO shouldn't need one. I'll played Aion without needing a wiki and I'm sure I could play WoW without a wiki because I could most likely find everything I needed in the game. If other people want to use wikis that's fine, but I rather not have to search to multiple pages trying to find something while playing a game.
And to be honest after speaking with every npc in the game, the lore is really random and all over the place with some things being mentioned only once in a quest. A lore guide would at least help some people connect to the game and be excited for future game-lore stuff.

thats why i said they couldn't run a perfect poll, because there are also people who stopped playing the game but might come back in the future.
But for people that don't use lodestone, you post a in-game message about it at login, and offer 20,000 gil or a special item if people complete the poll (ex. you use an inventive to maximize the diversity of your sample population). It may even be wiser to offer a choice of prizes to further maximize the differentiation in those polled. Theres lots of techniques that can be used.

Good job man, you're doing what SE should have done when they first released that game. Also I think Eorzeapedia still updates their wiki, so if people want info it's there.thats understandable but a lot of players will get turned off this game if it doesn't have one.

So in other words we need a better launcher? I agree, that why I made a topic in the Other forums. You should post your idea there.thats why i said they couldn't run a perfect poll, because there are also people who stopped playing the game but might come back in the future.

their wiki is far from updated. they are lacking most quest walkthroughs and stuff which is really helpful because it lets you plan out what you need and where you need to go (ex. some class quests require you to craft something in a far off place. If you don't have a guide you end up running there, having to go allllll the way to ul dah to get the parts and going allllllll the way back there)

ive posted ideas about polls and such and got the generic "we are working on it and adding it in the future" response. And that was months ago. Adding it in after the game is drastically changed defeats the purpose. So i'm under the impression these forums are just to make people think devs care and to report bugs, or that the team is just kinda unorganized

Poll questions were amateur though.thats not the point. the point is certain players will not touch the forums and those players are "different" and like "different" things than the people on the forums due (obviously since they arent inclined to use the forums). And you shouldnt need a poll to know what would make a good game.
Perhaps you should update it then. Your guides are pretty good, so I'm sure you'll do a great job of updating Eorzeapedia.their wiki is far from updated. they are lacking most quest walkthroughs and stuff which is really helpful because it lets you plan out what you need and where you need to go (ex. some class quests require you to craft something in a far off place.
