If I don't make it in time... (some questions)

Ok, what would happen to the players who won't able to catch up to Heavensward? I'm doing what I can to catch up myself, with all the help that's available.
Would that mean that I would just need to level up another 10 levels, even with the deadline being passed?
What would the post-Heavensward details be anyway? I imagine it'll be just continue as normal.

Currently, I'm on patch 2.1 of the story and also on the warrior Relic Reborn quest (the first of many to do).

not sure what you are asking.

it's an expansion it will give us new area's content and levels.

if you don't finish 2.0 content before heavensward is released nothing bad happens, as long as you buy it you will be able to get to it eventually take your sweet time.

What "deadline"? There is no deadline, you just need to complete all the main scenario content up to 2.55 before you'll be able to move on to Heavensward content. None of that is going anywhere, it's not like the patch is going to drop and they'll go "ha ha, **** you, now you can't complete the storyline".

It's unclear whether the level cap will automatically be raised from 50 to 60, but even if it is, the existing main scenario quests probably aren't set up to give any XP at 50 anyway, and the amount of XP you'll gain from mob kills will probably be absolutely trivial compared to what it takes to level up without doing the new quests. Otherwise you'll just continue exactly as you are now until you finish the 2.55 storyline and can go to the new zone.

You might miss out on experiencing it at same time as the rambling horde, but it will be there waiting for you when you get around to it.

There's no "deadline." The game world progresses as you progress the MSQs. Just keep going and you'll eventually catch up. You don't have to be there on day 1 for it to matter.

Whats this I'm seeing, about the current job skills, being altered or something?

I'm wondering also, about getting from 50-60, even before the new areas are discovered, and doing it in the current high level areas/dungeons.

When we get 10 more levels we also get new skills for our jobs, because it would be pointless if we only got stat upgrades.
I assume you can start getting experience the day the expansion is out, so it might even be smart to save some main quests to get the experience to level up to 60 quicker.

The one thing im concerned about is the queue time for all the main quest dungeon and trials you need to do

The queues should be fine, as there'll be a healthy number of people combing back to the game that need to catch up. Plus OP is a tank, tanks don't have to worry about queues :P

There will still be new and returning players, and people levelling the new jobs from 30+, so I wouldn't be too worried about queue times. Plus I'm sure there'll still be some incentives for people to continue running things like high level/trials roulette, if they're going to make the main scenario mandatory for progression I can't believe they'd be stupid enough to make it basically impossible to get a group for them.
