    New Idea: Markets

Something I think that would work for the market wards that maintains:
    1. Retainers
    2. Market wards
    3. Player sanity

As of now the market wards is a really really robust auction house in my opinion.. it's the same basic concept with no bids, everything is buy now, and there is no current history.

Personally idc if we get an auction house as long as the system works and with this system currently it is brewing with potential.

This is what I propose, add a history of prices, so people aren't guessing and a static price can be established for items. Also, and this is the more difficult part to explain, make retainers more useful. Right now you set them up in the wards and they stay there selling until you call them back to check your bank: AKA ---> inconvenient. A simple fix would be after being called retainers are returned to their prior location, this makes sense.

Going further it could be implimented that your retainers bounce from ward to ward based on the items it has in its bazaar. Example:
    Retainer has
      1. red coral+3
      2. iron hauby
      3. black sole
      4. crimson crayfish
      5. brass ingot

starting from the item with highest priority to be sold (first item put into bazaar) the retainer goes to said ward until that item is sold. After being sold the retainer would re position itself randomly in the armor ward, so on and so forth. This is just an idea of mine, apologies for the wall of text.

The only part of this that constitutes something not approaching beating the skeleton of a long dead horse is that of item priority lists that cause your retainer to bounce around the wards depending on what's currently on top of the list. The argument about price histories is not "new" in any sense of the word, and massive argument of a "shit storm" category it is. The suggestion of having your retainer relist itself after you check it is also not new in my estimation and unless I'm mistaken it's not terribly controversial.

The idea isn't frivolous on the face of it because, in limited situations, it keeps the wards organized automatically (kind of). To ellaborate slightly, at least for the "highest priority" ("HP") item that B is selling, the purchaser ("A") will always be able to look in the correct ward for the item he wants, and as long as the item A is looking for is also B's HP item. Then and only then are the wards automatically organized. If A is looking for B's second item down, and that second item is of a different ward categorization, then we are in the original boat where most of what you're looking for is randomly listed in the wrong wards. That being said the small percentage of the time where there is agreement between the item sought and item listed does not, in my opinion, merit the undertaking required to re-organize the ward system to make this the case when as it is the search feature simply tells you the ward to go to for the item you searched for.

A tertiary but not unimportant corollary of this system is that the autosort of retainers may cause ward zones to "overflow". I'm not sure of the consequences but it can't be all that peachy. The crystal ward is an example that might go over capacity due to the autosorting of the many retainers selling crystals (or crystal related items) as their HP item. I don't know if this would cause crashes (I bet it would) but a solid look at the maximum ward capacity would have to be undertaken to make sure automatic and unintentional zone cap outs don't happen.

All I want is to access the search at any location, not just by the door.

Thanks for the input really brought light to a few flaws I didn't know someone had suggested the re-listing as a possibility.. that at the very least I think people could agree on though it would make it more convenient.. thanks for the input though honestly IDK how you could fix the wards.. I'm hoping they show us soon though they aren't broke just inconvenient ..
