They tried this with Star Wars Galaxies, the entire game landscape became a total shambles of pick'n'mix houses scattered where-ever.This would create massive lag within the server or area. Plus as Spuffin said, it'd cause LOTS of lag.
I'd like an auction house to go with the market wards though. could use the market wards to sell everyday run of the mill stuff like simple crafted items at set prices, and the auction house to sell HQ things and special items/equipment using a bidding system.
It'd be nice if moogles operated the auction house too just so we'd get to see them more than just in cut-scenes.



Market wards are ok for having to buy stuff, however selling stuff in the wards is overly complicated, I don't mind walking around buying stuff it is kind of like shopping irl.
