How is he supposed to gear up properly if he kicked when trying to get the gear? How about this? Today, we had to kick a tank from Brayflox's Longstop (normal) who was not only under-geared, but was using the gear that can be used by both Tanks and Dragoons instead of using the tank-specific gear and also literally had no helmet equipped or accessories. How you get that far as a tank with a gear set like that, I have no clue.
While the gear he had on can be excusable, and a little bit on accessories, even a white helmet should have been bought by that point. If he's dieing a lot because he hasn't though to atleast gear himself up from some npc merchent items, its a good reason for a kick.
No. Most groups are good. They are also composed by human beings, who may occasionally make mistakes. I always hope to be grouped with them, rather than those who think they are perfect and demand perfection from others. :PSo I decided to recently return to the game, with the intention of preparing for Heavensward. Great deal and all right? That is until I forget that there's some few individuals that are just... completely brain-dead or just mentally incapable of understanding the game by 35+. My apologies if I'm 'flaming' or something but I feel the need to relate and/or rant to... SOMEONE, so people at least understand how frustrating it is to deal with that kind of behavior.
... some examples ...
Is this a common thing to deal with nowadays in game? :/
It might also be "worse" than normal being so close to expac. Those who want to get in on day one yet still don't have a class to 50/haven't finished the MSQ might be rushing and not bothering to learn their class. On the flip side you have very bored vets that can and will go into dungeons/trials just to troll. They're a minority to be sure, but they happen.
You'll get rough/bad players in MMO, but the good ones are there tooThe number of good/okay experiences I've had so far far outnumber the bad. Then again, I'm not at Steps yet.

There are plenty of quests and levequests from 1-50 that reward level appropriate gear of all types.
Having underleveled, class-inapproriate gear AND no helmet AND no accessories is inexcusable for any sentient player. (Especially for Brayflox, since it's one of the first dungeons where the tank can get hit hard)

Also if gear can be bought, what if the person in the party of the person you quoted doesn't even have the gil to buy gear to fill slots? (boy, oh boy, I wonder what that kicked character's class list looks like.)
My friend recruitment codes (I put it here because in the thread it just gets out dated quickly by new posts):
My code(1): HVTRTX6P (Unused)
My code(2): RAJHW2J3 (Unused, but could be invalid at this point)
Sadly these reasons alone are why many tanks refuse to DF outside their FC's, All us tanks have had this abuse on more than one occassion and we don't deserve it so we decide to stop helping out randomer by Grouping with people we know.
All Tank's share your pain and we need to have extra layers of thick skin.
