    Can't update - [11005][20815][20866][19900][32]

    I can't update to play this game.

    Yes I've run it as admin.

    Yes I've restarted my computer.

    Yes I've deleted the temp folder and redownloaded.

    UPDATE: I've deleted and reinstalled the entire game. Still cannot download the latest patch, nor patch the system.

    Would hazard a guess there may still be some connectivity issues going on...if I remember right you are on Verizon in the D.C. area? Noticed some bad hiccups last night around Ashburn checking on some paths. Was only around 1/8 a second (130ms) when it kicked in...but if it stacked onto something else on the way to Cambridge (the Akamai mirrors that serve the patches) it might cause that 11005 error to pop up (session dropped). Same could apply trying to check in with the patch manager in Tokyo for that matter.

    At work so don't have access to all the relevant addresses, but see if you can reliably trace and ping this IP:

    23.62.6.81

    It is the IP for one of Akamai's deployment servers that mirrors FFXIV patches.

    It isn't a connectivity issue.

    I've successfully patched on another computer.

    I've tried for 3 days with no success. I've uninstalled the game and will reinstall this evening.

    This is ridiculous.

    I made a thread about this last night and haven't had any responses on it yet. I was mailing with tech support for over two weeks and nothing solved it. It refused to update through 2.56 but suddenly worked on 2.57, and then after the hotfixes the other night it messed up again. Nightmare, I wish I could help you, just thought I'd let you know you're not suffering alone.

    Welp, even after completely reinstalling the game, I still can't patch.

    Awesome. Guess I'm not preordering Heavensward nor renewing my sub.

    Here are some things that worked for me when I got version check problems:

    1. Turning off your firewall and try launching the game. (I use Bitdefender and this is major source of my issues)
    2. Run a virus scan and check for malware. Malwarebytes +/- ADWcleaner are good adjuncts. Having malware installed may prevent the game from launching. Can also check your list of installed programs to see if any suspicious programs were installed without your knowledge.

    I've already gone and run malware and ccleaner, and uninstalled pretty much every program aside from .net, visual studio, ms office and tf2.

    It is not working, and I simply cannot play the game.

    At first i thought it was because i had it set to chinese locale (since...I'm chinese), but literally no other program has problems with that, and uninstalling and going to US locale didn't do anything either.

    It shouldn't be a firewall issue, though I've turned that off and tried too. The files download. I see them plain as day in my download folder. But they do not copy over, or they do copy over but then hangs.

    As an update, I still cannot play this game.

    Is there a better way to get technical support than this forum? I simply cannot patch, or even install this game now.

    I'm also still having this problem. You can try to file a support ticket, but I found them completely unhelpful. None of their suggestions worked, even when I called my network provider for assistance! I've heard that downloading the game files from another computer or torrent can solve the issue, but... Yeah.

    That sounds like data corruption either during the download itself or the unpacking/copying of files, or something else specific to your system is causing problems at the file system/hard drive level. Have you run a chkdsk yet?
