1) Let's not open this can of worms. there's a whole thread on this. Let's just say PVP is very divisive in XIV.
2) Maybe for 4 or 5.0. This is difficult, since the game doesn't HAVE underwater physics.
3) They add new hairstyles every patch. This game already has more face choices than most games of its type, and due to the detail in the facial expressions, there's not really a need or desire to add more.
4) That's limit break. We're getting them in 3.0.
5) Don't think that'll be an issue unless they add the Gria as a race. Wings are a PAIN to design armor around.
6) Again, our models are already ridiculously detailed and this would take a lot more time and resources to add than many realize.
This game isn't Aion, Aion is a much older game in a much different engine.
1) It's really difficult to redo the way the system works now, especially as this isn't the same type of game as Freedom Wars.
2) Uh, maybe? Well...this is actually an odd request IMO.
3) They've explicitly said they have no plans to add the option to hide the paladin's shield at this time, as it plays an important part in several of their animations.
4) Yeah not gonna happen, sorry dude. The horns of the au ra are as iconic as the ears of a miqo'te, muscles of a roegadyn, ears of an elezen, blandness of a midlander, shortness of a lalafell, and eyebrowlessness of a male highlander.
5) They've mentioned they don't really want to do this, since while there is an "anime-esque" flair to the game, they want to keep the hairstyles a bit more grounded in reality. Rikku and Lulu are possible, but ones like Cloud and Wakka are a bit more "out there." I'm not sure on their stance about iconic hairstyles either...but they'd prolly hand them out as veteran rewards if anything.
6) Oh dear god no. Please, please no. On a realistic note, I don't think the equipment/inventory system in this game would be able to handle more hex values at this time. Maybe a few years down the line (evolving equipment is usually added a few years into a game's life IF it's added at all.)
7) They dropped this because they don't want any class to be barred from an encounter for any reason. XIV's devs actually care about keeping the classes and encounters as balanced as they can. And since very few of the classes use elemental attacks to begin with, this is important. Resists are in game, but with the current system it's simply more EFFICIENT to just stack more VIT to absorb the hit.
