It seems like Yoshi-P and SE perfected their MMO-making techniques during ARR, and now we got a more matured, perfected game. I'm gonna turn this game on and not let go, FOR SURE!!!! Goodbye mom, goodbye dad, goodbye Girlfriend (oh no, THAT NO, she plays with me YAY)

I'm definitely excited, I've spent much of my morning at work joining in on the hooting, hollering, and speculation. I'm mostly excited for figuring out what in the world AST is actually going to play like, raised cap for my healers, new PLD skills, and more dangerous open world zones.

I think AST is gonna be something of a wildcard for healers. Like, nowadays, WHM synergize with SCH but each do not with itself, so, AST is gonna be like... the other healer is WHM? cool, I'll go Nocturnal. Oh, but it's SCH? OK, diurnal it is. That way it's a healer who synergize well with both other healer jobs.

That seems to be the gist of it. I'm curious of it's damage potential, or if it will bring greater strength with it's party utility. I know that changing stances is intended to be done infrequently, but I'm curious if there will be advantages to changing stance, say, based on phases in raid content, where perhaps more mitigation or burst is needed, or if it would simply end up being redundant. I like the thought of having such flexibility. Plus, it's new. New things are fun.
