When it comes to anime, there's a game of it.
Problem is, it's only available in Japan.
Due to their leniancy towards certain content, it is understandable as to why we never see them.

Not for females? Why?
Are they ecchis? I watch ecchis y'know.

No, not for kids being it's serious subject matter. "Not for females" I'm not sure, but I watch em and I'm female, but I can say it's not what the generalized female anime fan would be interested in in otherwords.
Are we saying that it's violent, sexist or too close to err... the 'H' word?
'Cos I've watched Urotsukidoji and that's pretty much all 3 rolled into one.

"One of the goals of the original version's gameplay is for the player to enable the viewing of adult scenes depicting Yuichi and one of the five heroines having sexual intercourse."

Newer games by key are safe though. But that isn't the reason it's not for female audience. The protagonists are always male... it's as simple as that :P

Anyone else thinks there's a chance that SE will be doing an announcement about the PS3 release at the soon to begin Tokyo Game Show ? The game is getting decent, we have a major update coming soon, 1 year anniversary is next week and Sony + SE are doing a conference together at the TGS (japan being their main playerbase). That would be a great occasion for them to reveal a PS3 launch date.

I reckon 1.19 is gonna be next week, if not, the week after.
Either way, with the amount of content they're putting into one patch I think they'll be walking around with fingers crossed for days hoping it was enough to satisfy the players for a little longer whilst they finish off the rest of the core mechanics.
That being said, as soon as they know the 1.19 has been successfull they may announce a release date for the ps3.

They will need some time to watch the reaction of the community after releasing 1.19 and some important changes come in 1.20. I think it will need some more months before we can expect a PS3 release date.
Going all the way back to the beginning of this thread, I really do not see how the changes to guildleves "cater" to console players vs PC players. As a result of the recent announced changes to the leve system, I have concluded that this change was made specifically to cater to the console system audience. Why? Because console players in my view, have a different mentality than PC MMOers. Most people I personally know that play console games, don't sit down and play them for long periods of time. Couple of hours, couple of hours there. The changes to the system support a solocentric, login, have something to do, logout mentality. One where you never have to really "get involved" with the persistent world.
Its unfortunate.
I would love to see a FF MMO title developed solely with a PC MMO audience in mind. My guess is the end result would be a much better game.
The PS3 may have had an impact on ORIGINAL design decisions for the game, but since then, I think there has been no influence.
The OP seemed to think less leves but faster resets would be better suited to a PS3 player rather than doing them all at once like we do now. They got this delusion that the whole 4 leves > 12 hours was because of the PS3.Going all the way back to the beginning of this thread, I really do not see how the changes to guildleves "cater" to console players vs PC players.
