They mentioned in the LL that DRK hasn't gone through localization yet, all the action names could be renamed.

Seems to work fine for me. Let's see you grit those teeth!
grit
ɡrɪt/
courage and resolve; strength of character.
"I've known few men who could match Maude's grit"
synonyms: courage, courageousness, bravery, pluck, mettle, mettlesomeness, backbone, spirit, strength of character, strength of will, moral fibre, steel, nerve, gameness, valour, fortitude, toughness, hardiness, resolve, determination, resolution; more..
It doesn't sounds so good and would love a more dark/emo/angsty/bloody name but reading the DRK bit of lore it makes a lot of sense:
"The pious Ishgardian clergy guide the flock, and the devout knights protect the weak. Yet even the holiest of men succumb to the darkest of temptations.
None dare to administer justice to these sacrosanct elite residing outside the reach of the law. Who, then, defends the feeble from the transgressions of those meant to guide and protect them? A valiant few take up arms to defend the downtrodden, and not even the holy priests and knights can escape their judgment. Pariahs in their own land, they are known by many as “dark knights.” These sentinels bear no shields declaring their allegiance. Instead, their greatswords act as beacons to guide the meek through darkness."
I was under the influence that Dark Knights were something along the lines of Ishgard's black-ops; though perhaps that's just two people interpreting the word "honor" differently. While I also didn't like Chuunibyou reference (though it was funny), I can see where it comes from (but really we are all playing a fantasy based mmorpg, we are all guilty of this). I personally have the same issue with use of "Grit" as a "stance. I would have liked something along the lines of Conviction ( throw in Dark Conviction if you must). Perhaps even Vehemence (a skill used by Dark Knights in FFT WoTL), though it would have to be a mirror (fliped/reversed) version of it's previous incarnation. In regards to the Anti- Paladin, dishonorable reference, I don't feel it depicts them properly, the current lore found on the Heavansward site does not describe them as such. They are seen as valiant and sentinels that lead the down trodden through darkness.
Dark Knights aren't anti-Paladins.A quick google search tells me I'm not alone in this; when searching google images for "grit" or "gritty" the same few images keep popping up - a tough, no-nonsense, hands-on, muscled individual. Often it kicks up images of sheriffs in the Wild West. What it doesn't show, however, is an Anti-Paladin, dishonorable, shadow and darkness wielding manipulator.
In fact they're the only thing standing between corrupt church officials/ Inquisitors and innocent people so the Wild West imagery is startlingly appropriate.

I think in my mind I had tied in that they would remove corrupt church officials, Inquisitors, and Paladins as the reason I considered them anti-Paladin; they had to be the antithesis to the knights they had to condemn. However, your viewpoint is absolutely valid and I can respect it. I think that if we kept with the spaghetti western theme I would see them as more of the Lone Gunman Vigilante who would dispatch corrupt sheriffs, but there is a degree of grit in that as well.
I'm not sure I still agree with the ability name, but I can respect it a bit more using that theory. Thank you!
Yeah I don't really think they're the sheriffs. Just the Wild West imagery in general is really kinda fitting in a startling way. Thanks for your response, it was extremely heartening to see someone so cheery about other points of view on the forum!I think in my mind I had tied in that they would remove corrupt church officials, Inquisitors, and Paladins as the reason I considered them anti-Paladin; they had to be the antithesis to the knights they had to condemn. Though I do admit I hope the localization team gives the DRK abilities a good, long look so maybe the name will change!

I sort of feel the same way about the word choice. Oddly the new WAR stance 'Abandon' sounds more appropriate for DRK as far as naming conventions go. Maybe they should swap?
When I heard "Abandon" I thought the same thing; but I put it in the context of "reckless abandon" (means roughly "without care or regard for consequences".) which is fitting for a warrior, in my opinion.
Abandon is not the stance, it's the stacks you'll be getting while in the stance; the stance's name seems to be "Deliverance", which is very odd considering the Japanese clearly call it "Destroyer".
