A quick google search tells me I'm not alone in this; when searching google images for "grit" or "gritty" the same few images keep popping up - a tough, no-nonsense, hands-on, muscled individual. Often it kicks up images of sheriffs in the Wild West. What it doesn't show, however, is an Anti-Paladin, dishonorable, shadow and darkness wielding manipulator.

So I ask the FFXIV community; am I alone in thinking "Grit" is a poor choice for a DRK ability? And am I further alone by thinking it would suit a Warrior far better?
While I also didn't like Chuunibyou reference (though it was funny), I can see where it comes from (but really we are all playing a fantasy based mmorpg, we are all guilty of this). I personally have the same issue with use of "Grit" as a "stance. I would have liked something along the lines of Conviction ( throw in Dark Conviction if you must). Perhaps even Vehemence (a skill used by Dark Knights in FFT WoTL), though it would have to be a mirror (fliped/reversed) version of it's previous incarnation. In regards to the Anti- Paladin, dishonorable reference, I don't feel it depicts them properly, the current lore found on the Heavansward site does not describe them as such. They are seen as valiant and sentinels that lead the down trodden through darkness.
