Is "Grit" a proper name for a DRK ability?

I think there will be quite a bit of Localization involved to lose all those Dark prefixes.. would make autotranslate for these abilities rather annoying. If I could choose at the moment, knowing what little we know:

Grit => Bravery
Darkside => Deathbringer
Dark Arts => Darkness

Just a few Tactics and FFXI references.. idk.. At least Souleater made the cut, that's enough to please me.

Darkside is used for the name of the sac hp deal more damage attack in VIII, IX, and The 4 Heroes of Light so the name is in itself a reference.

When I read this the first thing to pop into my head was "Assassins" like in Assassins Creed >.< im sure i wasnt the only one

But Grit seems like a good name, sure not the best it could be but I like it.

I'd really like to see "Anathema" (synonym: ex-communication, curse by the church/papacy) rather than Grit to hit the lore based on the website thus so far. Maybe even "Heretic" based on their methods.

My perception (Heavenward isn't out yet, all speculation) is that Dark Knight is the unsung hero of revenge and brings justice against injustices by any means necessary. I know Cecil was a Dark Knight and Paladin, but Cecil showed personality changes from the two. "Betray him? Any king who'd wish for this is no king of mine." Whereas a Paladin seeks to serve in the glory of a clause to defend its people, Dark Knight compromises their righteousness by any means necessary to make things right.

What? Grit fits more especially if its gonna be the name for their tank stance ability.

I would like to have seen something darker as well, grit does seem a bit plain for a dark knight.


What about "Seethe" or something along the lines?
