Paladin LF an active early morning EST FC

I am both old and new to Eorzea, I sort of dabbled and enjoyed the story-line while being an active and heavy World of warcraft raider. I have since quit WoW, being a much bigger Final Fantasy fan, since my very early years in life, I have found that I want to enjoy the MMO a bit more and attempt raiding. I am still a greenhorn in the game despite playing since it game came out.I played off and on, did some of the content as it came out but never really got into the higher level stuff but I have a late-night 3rd shift job. I am on the look-out for something a bit more early in the day (Mornings-Afternoons EST) that attempts raiding and does stuff together and is a fun active environment where I can make some friends.

I know its not truly comparable, but I was a top-end US raider for roughly 8-9 years on WoW, so I am somewhat used to the world of progression and understand what its like to play in a competitive environment, even though my role will be different. ( I was a dps, more specifically a hunter (ranged), in wow and am now playing a tanking role here in FF14)

Should anyone have a spot for a greenhorn tank, let me know. I would very much appreciate it.
