I like the idea of MP assistance as a whole for a Cleric Stance trait. Cleric's Stance being traited to reduce the MP cost of spells by 10% may be a nice benefit in the grand scheme of things, as an alternative to proving MP regeneration.
This would be amazing. To add to that, increase natural mana regeneration by 15% too while in cleric stance. This would be a great boon to whm dps since we don't have access to atherflow.

No thanks. That's not the meta. It may be for scholar, but i don't want a useless dps trait to replace our main utility proshell. My holy spam in dungeons and dots in fcob are more then adequate dps.
You should prepare for a major disappointment with WHM in 3.0 then considering three out of the five new abilities they will receive are either offensive attack spells or a means of providing healing through dealing damage.

Getting the III tier on stone and aero was anticipated for a very long time. And we'll get assize and a dot. So there is no disappointment. Also, unless you're already playing heavensward, you don't know how assize will even work. Nor do you know there will be just 5 new abilities. Whm meta has never been about dps.
White mage is designed as a pure healer job, so we introduced additional healing abilities and other abilities which they are currently lacking.

They will obviously have to replace Proshell. If Protect is just going to be Proshell then the trait "Proshell" would just be redundant. That said I have no idea what CNJ is going to get instead.
MP regen at this point for me isn't that big of an issue, and Accuracy may just be added to gear. If the trait is going to be an aleration to a spell, like Proshell is, then I would most likely think it would effect Cleric Stance in some way since a CJ only knows Stone, Cure, Aero, Cleric Stance, Protect, Medica, Raise*, and Fluid Aura**. Maybe it will increase the potency of Medica? Or give it a very weak regen? :P
* Raise already has a trait so... not gunna happen.
** Fluid Aura is learned through a quest, so not going to happen.

Just because it's a quest reward doesn't prevent it from getting a trait. Don't even need to switch classes to see that it's true.
Cure II is our Lvl.30 CNJ quest reward. We have both Freecure and Overcure that is relevant for it.
That said, a trait for Fluid Aura would be amazingly boring, in my opinion. And sometimes difficult to use without the party hating you for it.![]()

Ah right. I forgot that Cure II is a quest spell. I suppose that doesn't rule it out completely. Though there is a 14 level difference between Cure II and Overcure. Fluid Aura is a level 15 spell while the trait would be level 16. It seems like too close for comfort, if you will. But yeah. A Fluid Aura trait would be kind of boring.
When the developers of the game state they are going to go over each new ability for the currently existing classes and show 5 new abilities for each class I have no reason to believe they are being inaccurate in their presentation.
The raiding meta in this game has always been about overall raid DPS. It does not take much effort to understand that several of the new abilities and design direction for WHM assist in this.
The intent and meaning of this last quote in your post directly contradicts the position you are trying to support. In the live letter they specifically stated that WHM is intended to become more of a hybrid capable role.White mage is designed as a pure healer job, so we introduced additional healing abilities and other abilities which they are currently lacking.

While you're nit picking my posts, tell me more about the raid meta as almost a full ironworks white mage. My last quote (from the dev post) only solidifies my position, not contradicts as you would so like to believe. Either way, i'm growing dull of this. I have little desire to debate these things. But please, carry on.
