Depends on how much the dps increase for WAR and DRK is. I'm assuming Sword Oath isn't going to be changed or at least slightly buffed, since they mentioned they wanted it to emphasize a more defensive role and support itself and others. I'm just hoping Deliverance is a +25% increase since Defiance is -25%. I doubt it will be that strong but one can hope.

Fcob was under-tuned compared to Scob imo. T6 and T7 were the the first and only turns to have their mechanics severely nerfed and T9 is still the hardest in terms of mechanics because all 4 phases are different with one shot mechanics in each phase i.e P1 - meteors, P2 - controlling golems, P3 - Heavensfall, Binding Chain/Garrote Twist, P4 - Fire in and out, dbs, extreme party co-ordination.

I have feeling that new coils will introduce continuous tanks buster right from the start like a bahumuts claw followed by 5 akh morns in a row that would be brutal lol.

Yeah I doubt that Deliverance will be that powerful either. Considering that Sword Oath Paladin and non-Defiance Warrior are so close in DPS as it is, my best guess is that Deliverance won't have a passive damage increase attached to it at all. Any increased damage may just be attached to the Abadon stacks: whatever passive buff they give us and what they can be "turned in" for.

DPS jobs are also getting a lot more DPS actions to increase the DPS they already can do. Essentially every job is getting improvements, otherwise there would be an imbalance among just DPS jobs alone. Then of course tanks also need increase in their viability to take the strain off having just 1 tank and 5 DPS instead.

But in order to achieve this effectively SE is adding in new actions with the level cap increase as opposed to just increasing current action potency of any job period as this would just be stale, bland, AND boring because there wouldn't be enough words to describe how lackluster not doing this would be. Kudos to SE for taking this path.

I doubt the ratio is going to be any more in favor of tank DPS than what is currently possible pre-3.0, but I do think trying achieve as much tank DPS as possible will be much more enjoyable. Which is the most important thing, enjoyable gameplay. Kudos to SE for this as well.

Before content was so overgeared that you could just tank everything with SwO PLD, the optimal tank DPS setup was WAR pulling with Unchained + buffs -> PLD SwO FoF -> then swap after buffs wore off. Now that we're going to be undergeared again, you'll probably see something similar in the expansion with WAR/DRK, PLD/DRK, WAR/PLD.

I'm really hoping this isn't the case. I would prefer a straight damage buff than one tied to stacks. We already have crit attached to stacks and if you don't remember, the inc heals were removed from the stacks and added to Defiance. I'm not expecting a large dps increase but I'm guessing we are now able to parse 300+ easily, especially now that the Hard mode raids will take into consideration healer dps.

WARs are already doing 450 dps before Echo. At 60 with deliverance and i170+ gear their DPS will be 600-700 I bet.

I think most warriors were already well beyond that 300 dps point already.
Also what information leads you to believe the savage raid will be tuned with healer dps as essential? I haven't seen or heard of any source for this as of yet.

    From this thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...erview-summary

    * Heavensward expects Healers to DPS. They increased the offensive power of the WHM, not because they want them to be real DPS but because they first didn't expect the players to have the healers DPS in coil, they were surprised to see the top parties do that and they changed their plan. When they do the new raid they now takes healer dps into consideration, that will be a major difference between alexander normal and hard, in the normal mode dps check they don't take into account the healers' damages.
