    Bring and keep players gaming

I see a lot of posts about what people want in game content. What I don't really notice is whats needed to bring people in and keep current members playing. I just put some general ideas but I want to know what the hardcore players think. You guys know better than anyone what's needed to keep and bring people in to play. This is not to say casual gamers opinions are not welcomed because I'm a casual gamer. I just don't want to see this game die out in the hall of shame. This list is in no particular order. These are my thoughts on what should be focused on and some ideas that came to my head.

Hopefully this isn't a duplicate and I'm sorry if it is. I checked while on my phone at work so please go easy on me.

    1. In game tutorials explaining to the new player how to do things. Add new player quests to earn info on how to accomplish things such as synthesis.

    2. Changing the limitations of levequests. Have the player quest for the right to perform more levequests each cycle

    3. Making your character more personal.

    4. Give current and new players a goal to achieve from your ff experiences. An example for me would be AF armor. Right now my goal is only a Rank number. I don't have a item goal that will symbolize my accomplishments.

    1. I think these are definitely needed as the game does very little to explain things in an interesting fashion. Just loads of boring text. I am not saying I want hand holding but there should be a fun tutorial to explain basic systems within the game to new players.

    2. I believe Leve quests are casual content, something that can be done quickly in a short amount of time. However due to the lack of any other content it's all people do at the minute hardcore or casual. So not sure if allowing more to be done would help as it's not the limit on how many you can do that is the problem, it's the fact there is very little to do apart from Leve quests that is the problem.

    3. Not sure what you mean by that.

    4. Player goals are what this game is desperately lacking. Sorry to keep bringing up FFXI but in that there was always something to look forward to and some sort of achievement. At level 10 you go to the Dunes and party up with other people (some of the best and worst memories right there ^^), level 18 unlock subjob, level 20 go to Jeuno and get Chocobo Licence, 24 first Airship ride to Kahzam, 30 unlock advanced jobs and so on. There was something to look forward to all the time I don't get that at all in FFXIV. Even gear, you would think next rank I can equip this or use this weapon, in FFXIV I can already equip that gear and weapon so it loses it sense of achievement when I get to it's optimal rank.
