[11003][20403]for PC unable to download patch files.

So I have searched the internet and these forums for the solution to this and tried everything under the sun to fix this.

THIS IS FOR THE PC version.

How in the hell do I fix this for good cause no matter what I do it wont work.

I was able to play yesterday and today BOOM cant. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing.

Had same issue trying to install game last week when I came back to the game. I had to torrent the whole thing from someone else which took forever and was a pain the butt.

I have the same problem as well. =_=
I tried reinstalling after the launcher doesn't show up any login details to fill, then same thing happened.

A couple things to check just to rule them out:

Make sure all the TLS and SSL options are enabled on the Advanced tab of your Internet Properties (inetcpl.cpl from search/run box). There was an update from Microsoft that reset some settings and has been known to cause some issues with the launcher--was a Lodestone notice about it last month.

Make sure you have the older .NET environment active. In the more recent releases of Windows only v4 is enabled by default and some installers and such are making v3 calls that have been deprecated since 3.5. You can find it listed in the Windows Features section of the Add/Remove Programs snap-in (appwiz.cpl from search/run box). Depending on your release of Windows it may be listed under a Legacy section.

Run the game as Administrator. Either manually by right-clicking the shortcut or by setting it to always run as Administrator via the Compatibility or Advanced sections of the shortcut's properties page.

Double-check your security to make sure the executable files are allowed full internet access or are marked as safe/ignore scan. There will be executables listed in two folders in the FFXIV installation folder--6 or 7 total if I remember right (on phone at work so can't be more specific). This goes for Anti-Virus, firewalls, anti-malware, etc. If you have added exceptions in the past you may want to refresh them as some may block them if they detect changes in the file since it was last allowed (version number change and such after patching). Also don't forget things that manage pop-ups. May want to add the site the launcher uses: frontier.ffxiv.com

    Edit:
If you have not done so recently, completely power down your system. Not a log off or hibernate but a complete shutdown. Some updates will not complete their cycle and release locks on files or services until a restart. The file system also has some tasks that need to run periodically while the partition is in an offloaded state and it will try to run them during the reboot. Nothing major that will hang up the machine, just quick fixes like log cleanups and quick integrity checks that may knacker up file access.

Windows Update is normally the issue with people being unable to download a patch. Open it up, install anything that is downloaded and waiting on install, then restart the computer.

Click the link for Windows Features. It should give a list of options to toggle on/off with checkboxes. There should be one for .NET 3.5. If it isn't right there on the main list, you may need to expand a legacy category---the layout varies depending on the version of Windows.

OK did it and it wasnt checked. Next time there is a patch I will know if all worked. I already copied the files from my wifes pc and my game is working as of last night but not because I did the patch myself. Just zipped her full patched folder and sent it to my pc via network but I dont want to have to do that everytime so lets hope next time this works.

    Thanks for the help.
